About Me

I was born in Southeast DC, raised in Fort Washington, MD, and currently live in Virginia Beach, VA. I am the youngest of three, and the only girl. I grew up introducing myself to people as Faye, although now I much prefer to introduce myself as Fatima.

I was named after Our Lady of Fatima and, in March 2011, fulfilled a lifelong of dream of making a pilgrimage to Fatima, Portugal. I come from a family that travels frequently. Since 2005, I’ve traveled to 20 different countries, more or less (it’s tough to keep up with all the Caribbean islands). In 2009, I lived and studied in Florence, Italy for four months. I can easily say that that time spent abroad was one of the best times of my life. I love the mountains, the beaches, the sea, experiencing different cultures, food, and music. I’m young and want to see the world.

I took dance lessons as a kid but quit after a few years. I also took piano lessons, but quit that eventually, too. Now, I’m a self-taught guitarist always looking for improvement. Whenever I enter a space (house, restaurant, hotel lobby/room, office, school, etc.), I assess the design. I am a die hard fan of the Washington Redskins, ‘NSYNC, One Tree Hill, and Michael Bublé.

I graduated from Marymount University in May 2011 with a B.A. in Interior Design, however, I am not doing anything design related at the moment. I am employed by the Diocese of Richmond and minister to college students at Old Dominion University’s Catholic Campus Ministry. I am happily Catholic and I love to share God’s great love to everyone I meet.
